What would you do if you were a Ronin riding a motorbike and you were out of gas in the middle of a desert, on a seemingly post-apocalyptic world, and when your only tool is a katana that you don't want to use to hurt anyone at all...?

HOKI - The Ronin Rider is a Graphic Adventure Game focused on the sense of humor, ingenuity, and authenticity of the most acclaimed titles of 80’s & 90´s. Additionally you’ll be able to move the character freely like the early linear Platform Games.

A game like the old ones adapted to the nowadays technology, but preserving the most traditional flavour.

Controls are designed to have a game experience like the arcade machines with just 2 action buttons, although you’ll have to require the best mind performance if you want to solve the most unbelievable situations.

 A 2D Graphic Adventure game + Friendly but challenging Platform game.

The core gameplay of HOKI - The Ronin Rider is focused around 4 main features:

• Solve the challenges 
• Explore and Collect items
• Make new Friends
• Face the Danger

The game will be structured in 4 parts and in each one there will be a big challenge to solve. You'll become involved in a set of surrealist situations that you will find while moving forward and you will also have to solve them. Definitely a set of interlaced fun puzzles.

•  1st Part: Out of gas(This Demo). Main character and environment presentation. HOKI skills knowledge and what kind of world he is in. 
•  2nd Part: Delicious Motel.  Explore inside of a scary motel. Will you be capable to escape from there?
•  3th Part: Furious road chase. Drive your motorbike and face the most dangerous thieves on the road.
•  The End: ?... Final secret.

DEMO

 Around March of 2021, Edgar Sicilia started designing the game script, characters features, story and developing a lot of art. 2 months later Roberto joined the team as a part-time programmer. 8 months of happy hard working together hand to hand developing this little demos that can become a legendary game!

The result is around 45 minutes of gameplay where we’ll get, at the least, a smile out of you and guaranteed a lot of fun. 

You will probably find some little bugs here and there in the demo. We know some of them, so if you find them please say "Hi!". The most relevant are:

• Sometimes HOKI loses his original position when he respawn after dying: Restart the game. The issue will be fixed.
